Do you want to learn how to cook? Can you cook but lack the confidence to try new recipes and ideas? Broomwood Hall Cookery School is able to offer a superb teaching kitchen that can accommodate up to 14 students, each with their own workstation with oven and hob. After all the hard work in the kitchen, a light lunch or dinner can be enjoyed in the wonderful conservatory.

Letters Home

Welcome to our new section.
In this section you will be able to download letters which have been sent home. These letters can often be mislaid, forgotten in children's desks, eaten by the dog, etc. These letters will be listed under the relevant month and will be password-protected. If you have forgotten the password, please ask the school secretary.

Entrance Procedures

We accept 40 boys each year into Shell (8 years old). The usual time of entry is September following their 8th birthday, but boys may join the school at any time after that providing there is space in the appropriate form.

Parents interested in Northcote Lodge should complete a Registration Form and return it with a cheque for £100.00 made payable to Northcote Lodge.

Approximately one year before their proposed entry, boys will be asked to sit a short entrance test and have an individual interview with the headmaster. This procedure is intended to ensure that Northcote Lodge is the right school for a particular boy, Before the test and interview, parents are asked to pay a non refundable registration fee. Parents should note however that registration of a boy does not guarantee the offer of a place.

Places will be offered as soon as possible after the interviews. Upon acceptance of a place a deposit is payable, of which one-half is refunded against a boy's first term's fee account, with the remainder being returned (less any outstanding fees or extras) at the end of a boy's time in the school, providing the correct notice has been given.
