Every boy is placed into one of four house - Grenville, Raleigh, Sidney or Drake - in which he remains throughout his time at Northcote Lodge.

The House system encourages a sense of team spirit, camaraderie and belonging and boys quickly identify with their House.

A system of house points operates from week to week, leading up to a termly competition and houses also compete in interhouse contests throughout the year.

The house system, with its emphasis on loyalty and teamwork, is instrumental in encouraging the competitive spirit within the school.
