On the 23rd and 24th April South Pacific fever gripped Form 3 Northcote lodge boys and Year 6 Broomwood Hall girls and their stunning joint production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's South Pacific made a truely memorable evening for all. The production held at the Wandsworth Civic Centre was of an exceptionally high standard, proving that all the hard work and dedication of the cast was worthwhile in the end.
The highlight of the show for us was undoubtably the boys' fantastic rendition of 'Bloody Mary' and the cast's unforgettable encore of 'Happy Talk'. To complete the evening the boys gave an outstanding interpretation of 'There is nothing like a dame', while the audience sipped South Pacific Breezers.
Many thanks to all the staff of Broomwood and Northcote for their support, and in particular, Mrs Frett for directing and prducing the play. This has been an enormous success and we look forward to many more joint productions in the future.
There will be a cast party on Friday, 13 June from 3:30-6:00 on Wandsworth Common. This will include a BBQ and a game of rounders.
