Tutors
From Form 3, boys are allocated a personal tutor. Each tutor looks after a maximum of 10 boys. The tutor’s role is to build up a relationship with the boys based on friendship and trust, and to monitor their academic and social progress. The tutor (not the form teacher) is now the principal contact for parents; as all teaching is subject-based he or she is the person who has the best overall view of how a boy is doing. Tutors meet regularly with all the boys in their group, as well as writing a report each term covering development and progress at school.
