Text Message
We use text messaging (SMS) widely throughout the school as an instant and convenient way of conveying short messages (which may or may not be urgent) to parents – “match cancelled due to weather”, “bus delayed in traffic, new pick-up time 5.30”, that kind of thing – and we ask all parents to let us have their mobile telephone numbers (see Addresses) on the understanding that they will be used only for this purpose and, if necessary, for contacting parents in an emergency.
