Scholarships
During their last two years particularly able boys may be placed in a scholar-ship stream with a view to sitting the scholarship exam for their public school. This normally replaces Common Entrance – it is unusual for a boy who has sat a scholarship exam to be required subsequently to sit Common Entrance. The level required for a scholarship to major public schools is very high, and we do ask that parents accept our judgment on whether a boy should or should not be encouraged to take this direction.
