Nits
Head lice are a problem affecting all schools and any child may become infested. Some children are more prone than others to this endemic problem; this is absolutely no reflection on parental standards of hygiene, nor should it be a cause either for shame or embarrassment.
Nit checks are carried out by Matron once a fortnight. Parents are informed if their son has nits (eggs) or head lice and are required to deal with the matter promptly to prevent spread from pupil to pupil.
Nits are dealt with according to the School’s nits policy, a copy of which is available from the School Office or from Matron, and we are also able to advise on methods of treatment.
