Houses
All boys are assigned to one of four “Houses”, Raleigh, Grenville, Sidney or Drake. Houses have inter-house matches, competitions and meetings, and boys soon identify, often very strongly, with their House and the sense of belonging which it brings. Siblings are kept together in the same house.
At the end of Trinity Term House Captains (see Positions of Responsibility) are nominated for the following year; their job is to lead and motivate the house (and to keep the younger boys in order!) House captains are automatically prefects. Every member of staff is also allocated to a house, acting as a house tutor.
