Half Term
Half terms normally fall in the fourth week of October, the third week of February and the last week of May and are one week long. All boys go home at lunch time on the Friday of half term; school resumes at 8.15am as usual on the Monday ten days later.
We receive more complaints about half-term dates than just about anything else, as unfortunately schools tend to have different half-terms (some are now going over to two-week half terms) and it is simply not possible to arrange our own half-terms to coincide exactly with those of every other school. We try our best to be consistent, and we publish dates for five terms ahead (see Term Dates), but apart from that there is not much we can do about it.
