Use of the car is obviously unavoidable for some, but we encourage as many boys as possible to walk or bicycle to school – bicycle racks are provided (boys must bring their own chain/padlock; combination locks are best). In Forms 3, Remove and 5 we encourage boys to come to school independently, by public transport if appropriate. In Shell and Form 2 however, we feel that it is best that boys are always accompanied by a responsible adult.
Boys walking to school should always wear school
uniform only (no anoraks, etc). They should use only the pedestestrian gates at the sides of the main gates when entering the grounds. If you must use the car, please pay
close attention to our traffic procedures, and try to organise school runs where possible.
