The school has its own specialist art teacher who co-ordinates art and design technology teaching throughout the school. All forms have at least a double period of art each week. The boys work in a number of different media and occasionally visiting specialists are invited to teach. Talented boys are encouraged to enter competitions, to build up a portfolio of their work and join related clubs (art, pottery, carpentry etc).
The boys also do pottery and take pleasure in producing beautiful and original pieces of a very high standard. The school has its own kiln.
Art is constantly on display throughout the year, including drawing, painting, cards, carpentry, needlework, pottery and sculpture.
