The gates are opened each day at 7.45am and closed at 8.15am. We do not permit boys to arrive earlier than this, unless there is a special reason (e.g. choir or music practice, extra lessons). Boys should proceed through the boys’ entrance directly to the library where they are greeted every day by the Headmaster.

We encourage boys to come to school on foot or by bicycle wherever possible (see Getting to School); but for those parents who have to travel by car it is essential that they follow our procedures (see Traffic), both for traffic management and safety reasons.

At Northcote Lodge we expect boys to be independent when coming to school; we prefer that parents do not come into form rooms unless there is a very good reason. If you do come into the form room please use the boys’ entrance. It is school policy that teachers do not discuss boys within their hearing.
