The joy of Mathematics lies in the ability to appreciate pattern and order in Mathematics and hence the universe; to solve puzzles that give the brain something to think about. We encourage an enthusiasm for Mathematics as a lively and exciting subject.

We achieve this by encouragement, by stimulation and by a practical approach with as little rote learning as possible. We hope that the work will challenge the pupils to think and that this practice will equip them well in life. We recognise that children learn in a variety of ways and we will differentiate by input as far as possible.
